As the W3C enters its second decade, the WWW has wrapped the globe in a tightly woven fabric of information threads. This blog will explore some of these global threads. I think the threads can be called: TECHNOLOGY, ECOLOGY, POLITOLOGY, ECONOLOGY, SECUROLOGY, and CULTUROLOGY so I will label the posts with a thread name.

TECHNOLOGY : WWW -- new tools --Web 2.0

Hello all

The W3C And the WWW is now 10 years old as a full world operation.WEB 2.0 is becoming visible.Instead of a passive "Give me a web page" WWW has become an active medium.

The new technologies in wide use for end user participation include
  • Blogs (web logs),
  • Wiki (distributred collboration composition tool,
  • podcast(audio and video)
  • use of tags (keywords on all information objects -pix notes-recordings)
  • and RSS (real simple syndication)

As I explore these tools I will send you stuff-- beginning with a blog that contains messages I emailed to it, sent photos, wrote directly on it and telephoned it.

(POETOLOGY)Explore. Dream. Discover.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you

didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail

away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore.

Dream. Discover.

OVERVIEW -Hello world

Hello world :)

The Center of focus here will be a loose structure on life ,the universe and everything.
The flat world of information space is 6 dimensional. The 6 axes are :

TECHNOLOGY
ECOLOGY
POLITOLOGY
ECONOLOGY
SECUROLOGY
CULTUROLOGY

These 6 coupled information streams are so tightly woven into a fabric by the WWW, that touching one of them can have a Butterfly effect anywhwere on the planet. This 'Butterfly effect" in information space is probably more common than the effect in physical space.

The old web celebrated the 10th anniversary of the W3C, just as everything was heating up. The emergence of what has been called WEB 2.0, is characterized by technologies and attitudes that press to the edge of the information globe. Full Participation of the collective consciousness , not simply one-way down load is the new game. The tools are Blog, Wiki, photoblog, RSS and tags to bring it together.
